Starting as a response to Hurricane Ike in 2008, Servant of Nations entered into a partnership with the HOUSTON FOOD BANK to reach out to the underprivileged and the needy in our city. Every Saturday, the Houston Food Bank provides us food donations to distribute to those in need in our community. We begin around 8:30 am and distribute until the food runs out.
We are currently able to feed about 500 families a month (about 3000 people) through this ministry. We have been blessed to partner with churches like Parkway Fellowship and Gateway Community church in Katy, Houston’s First Baptist and the Hispanic arm of Lakewood church to increase the impact of our ministry. We are now nearing 10 years of distribution and 2 million pounds, all made possible by generous donations and volunteers.
IF YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER TO WORK WITH US ON THESE FOOD FAIRS, PLEASE CONTACT US EITHER BY EMAIL OR BY POSTING A COMMENT ON THE SPACE PROVIDED BELOW. THANKS!
